Justcroft International are pleased to announce the release of JustCGM for Windows 4.0, a new release of the desktop viewing, converting and plotting package. Additional functionality in version 4.0 includes -

JustMontage

JustMontage has been added to the JustCGM for Windows product suite. This is a program that allows you to create compositions of CGM images in combination with graphical shapes on a canvas. The composition can be created as a single CGM suitable for plotting, rendering to a bitmap form or importing into other graphics packages. JustMontage will preserve the CGM seismic extensions in the resulting composition CGM. JustMontage can also translate raster or vector data into CGM so that it can be used in a composition.

Large File Support

The JustCGM for Windows product suite now supports CGMs larger then 2 GB. The interpretation system has also been enhanced to allow swap files larger then 2 GB.

Bitmap Conversion

Most of the bitmap format to CGM converters have been enhanced to create CGM version 3 files with raster compression. This reduces the amount of (temporary) disk space and speeds up previewing.

Package Profile System

The Package Profile system has been enhanced. User specified package options can now be merged with application packages. User specified CGM application package mappings can now be merged with the Justcroft supplied mappings. User specified dash type specifications are now supported.

Existing users of JustCGM for Windows with support and maintenance cover are able to upgrade to this new release for free, keeping all their existing modules. For users of JustCGM for UNIX, there will be a new version 4.0 released in the coming months. This version will have support for files larger than 2GB, better bitmap to CGM conversion processes and a DGN to CGM converter. Further details will be announced nearer the release date.
