Justcroft International are pleased to announce the release of JustCGM for UNIX 4.0, a new release of the desktop viewing, converting and plotting package. Additional functionality and improvements in version 4.0 include -

Large File Support

JustCGM for UNIX now supports files larger then 2 GB on Linux, Solaris 7+ and IRIX 6.x. The interpreters system has also been enhanced to allow swap files larger then 2 GB.

Bitmap Conversion

Most of the bitmap format to CGM converters have been enhanced to create CGM version 3 files with raster compression. This reduces the amount of (temporary) disk space and speeds up previewing.

Package Profile System

• The Package Profile system has been enhanced.
• User specified package options can now be merged with application packages.
• User specified CGM application package mappings can now be merged with the Justcroft supplied mappings.
• User specified dash type specification.
• User hatch size specification for raster drivers.

CGM*PIP/II Fonts

All the CGM*PIP/II fonts are now supported.

GhostScript 8.01 Support

JustCGM for UNIX now uses GhostScript 8.01 for improved PostScript® and PDF® support.

MicroStation Converter

You can convert MicroStation V7 Design files to a CGM using our MicroStation Design File converter. This converter includes support for the Zeh specific plotting extensions (Zeh Level Definition). The MicroStation V7 Design File converter is part of the installation of JustCGM for UNIX but is sold and licensed separately.

Screen Capture

You can now make screen captures using the Screen Capture module. The Screen Capture module is free and is not charged as a separate module.
