JustPlot is an enterprise-wide viewing and plotting solution based on the CGM standard, as used in the Oil & Gas, Automotive and Aerospace industries.

CGM, CGM+, CGM*PIP and CGM-ATA files can be viewed, manipulated and routed to any plotter available on the enterprise-wide network. Users can interrogate plotter queues and re-submit jobs or reroute jobs to other plotters if desired.

The whole plotting system can be centrally managed from one workstation. New plotters can be added without interrupting the flow of the system.

JustPlot is available for many UNIX platforms and Microsoft Windows.

High Performance Drivers

Justcroft has many years experience with printing CGM graphics on UNIX® systems. This knowledge has been used to develop JustPlot drivers for most of the major plotters available today. New plotters are being added on a regular basis.

The JustPlot drivers give the following benefits:

• High performance output.
• A guarantee that there will be no difference in output between different printers. For example, JustPlot uses its own font system instead of relying on hardware printer fonts.
• High quality output. Rather than converting CGM files to an internal metafile format, JustPlot derives the best performance from the CGM files themselves.
• Less resource intensive. JustPlot can plot amazingly large files using the least amount of printer memory and disk space. Our drivers can handle plots of up to 500 metres in length.

Support For Multiple File Types

JustPlot supports many different types of image files and further types are constantly being added according to market demand. Submitted non-CGM graphics formats are automatically converted to CGM by the JustPlot system. Conversion is either vector graphics to CGM vector graphics or bitmap graphics to CGM cell arrays.

We strive for 100% support of the CGM standard. We also support the special CGM+ and CGM*PIP extensions, which are required by the Oil & Gas Industry and we have extended our CGM interpretation with ATA and CGM version 3 support. There are no additional licences required for CGM+, CGM*PIP or CGM version 3 support.

Our CGM interpreter core has some special features that reduce common CGM interpretation problems:

• Automatic package detection for automatic CGM interpretation correction.
• Automatic CGM cell array splitting.
• CGM Element limits based on CGM*PIP/II.

Our CGM Interpreters support both binary encoding and clear text encoding as specified by the CGM standard.

Supported Platforms

The JustPlot software can be run on IBM AIX 4.1 / 4.2 / 4.3, SUN Solaris 7, SUN Solaris 8, SUN Solaris 9, SUN Solaris 10, SGI IRIX 6.5 and LINUX Redhat Enterprise 3+. In addition, the client software can also be run on Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and 2003.
